Barcelona left-back Eric Abidal has revealed he would like to remain at the Camp Nou - but admitted the decision may be out of his hands.

The French international made his long-awaited return to Tito Vilanova's side against Real Mallorca at the beginning of April after recovering from a liver transplant.

Following his return to the Barcelona's first-team, Abidal has announced he is eager to stay at the Catalan giants despite losing his starting berth to Spanish international Jordi Alba during his absence from the side.

The 33-year-old defender told radio station RAC: "If my health allows me, then I want to carry on playing. I would like to stay at Barca, but that depends on them.

"I have had no offers from other clubs, although I have had many contacts. But Barca have treated me very well."

Abidal could be involved from the start against Levante on Saturday as Alba is likely to be rested in preparation for Barcelona's semi-final tie against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday.

Vilanova's side currently hold a 13-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid in the Primera Division title race.
