Steven Jovetic has already had what most sportsmen would term as a 'battling career' - despite being at the tender age of 23.
In a warm-up game leading into the 2010-2011 season, the Montenegrin forward suffered a horrific knee injury, which caused the striker to miss the entirety of the following campaign.
However, Jovetic has shown enormous mental and physical character to fight his way back to full fitness, and has been putting in some pivotal performances for his club, Fiorentina - performances which have not gone unnoticed. Jovetic has scored 12 goals this season in the Seria A, with his clinical finishing and phenomenal ball control proving to be a consistent threat to the opposition.
His direct style of play was particularly apparent in the World Cup Qualifier against England, which only helped to further his reputation. Clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester City have been reportedly tracking the young forward, and whilst he remains committed to La Viola's cause, he has implied a potential move away from Florence this summer. According to the Daily Express, Jovetic stated: "I just think about getting Fiorentina into Europe... In June, we'll see."
Should Jovetic decide that a move to the Premier League is the best destination in order to further his career, there will be intense speculation as to which team would be best suited to his talents.
A move to Manchester City would prove to be enticing, due to their newfound riches, and ability to consistently challenge for titles - however, if he were to move to the Emirates and join Arsenal, there is a far higher chance of Jovetic experiencing first-team football on a regular basis, which is arguably what a young striker needs.
Either way, a move to one of Europe's elite is certainly not out of reach for such an immensely talented player.
