Tottenham midfielder linked with summer move to Fulham
Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Tom Huddlestone wanted by Aston Villa and Fulham
The 26-year-old has struggled for regular first-team football under the stewardship of Andre Villas-Boas since returning from injury, and is reportedly considering a move away from White Hart Lane when the transfer window reopens on July 1.
"There are times when I think I might need a move, especially if you don't play for a few months," he told the Daily Mirror.
"I am 26. I missed a year to 18 months through injury. You just want to play every game, and if that opportunity is not at Tottenham then I will have to look elsewhere.
"It's been a frustrating few months. There was talk about [a move to] Fulham in January, although nothing was that close to happening where I thought it would be possible."
Huddlestone's chances of more action next season look unlikely, with Spurs already making plans to further strengthen their squad ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
With the prospect of a return to the Champions League, Villas-Boas has identified a number of targets, which will only increase the competition for places in his side, potentially pushing Huddlestone further down the Tottenham pecking order.
Fulham boss Martin Jol - who first brought Huddlestone to White Hart Lane - would love to take the midfielder across London to Craven Cottage,
However, the Cottagers will face competition from Villa boss Paul Lambert, who hopes to lure Huddlestone to the Midlands, providing they retain their place in the Premier League next year.
