Tottenham are eyeing up a move for Porto star Christian Atsu, according to the Daily Express.
Spurs have been linked with a move for the Ghanian international in the past but could be ready to step up their interest in him this summer, amidst further reports Gareth Bale could be on his way out of White Hart Lane.
The Express claim scouts from Tottenham have cast an eye over Atsu, who was handed his debut in Portugal by Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas during his spell in charge of Porto.
The 20-year-old winger has just 12 months left on his contract and has an £8 million buy-out clause, while he has reportedly signalled his intent to leave Porto by refusing to sign a new deal.
Atsu could be used as replacement for Bale should he make the move to Real Madrid.
The Welshman has been in scintillating form this season and has been linked with a move away from north London - something which could become a more realistic prospect should Spurs miss out on the top four and Champions League football this season.
Their 3-1 win over Manchester City Sunday puts Andre Villas-Boas' side back in contention for a top four finish after a dip in form which saw them take just four points from four league games.
Should they secure Champions League qualification it would certainly improve their prospects of landing the names they have been linked with in recent months, including Atsu.
