Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo recently added another to his vast array of promotional deals by becoming the new face of watch-maker Jacob & Co.
Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed a personal endorsement deal with Jacob & Co; just days before his Real Madrid take on the highly rated Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semi-final.
The Portuguese forward is set to appear in a new campaign for the New York-based watch maker, as they attempt to make Ronaldo their long-term face of the brand; which will begin with Ronaldo appearing in a print advertising campaign in May, which will be followed up by a public appearance for Jacob & Co in Monte Carlo which will take place in mid-July.
Speaking of his new endorsement deal, Ronaldo said to reporters: “I’ve always been a customer and a fan of the brand for a long time so it is a natural fit, I always used Jacob watches, even before I knew Jacob Arabo.
“The brand absolutely stands for leadership in creativity, as a collector of the world’s finest watches; it is obvious to me how much passion Jacob & Co has for quality.”
Jacob & Co chairman Chris Del Gatto added to Ronaldo’s statement: “I think it signifies a complete re-launch of Jacob & Co. He is one of the most famous soccer players in the world, but more than that he’s one of the most respected athletes in the world.
“He has the attributes that we really feel mirror the Jacob & Co brand.”
Ronaldo has other major endorsements, which include Konami, Nike, Castrol as well as Banco Espirito Santa, deals which rake in a massive $22million a year, and now that figure will only increase.
