Manchester United & Manchester City target Portuguese starlet
Manchester United & Manchester City transfer news: Sporting Lisbon youngster Bruma could be on his way to the Premier League
Manchester United and Manchester City are both interested in signing Sporting Lisbon starlet Bruma, according to reports.
And having clinched their 20th league title on Monday evening with a brilliant 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, it seems there is no rest for the Ferguson and United as they will undoubtedly look to build on this seasons triumph.
Having splashed the cash to land Robin van Persie last summer, beating rivals City to his signature in the process, Monday night was evidence enough that his signing has proved to be a big difference between the two Manchester sides this season. City boss Mancini has already made it publicly known how disappointed he was at his club's failure to land Van Persie ahead of United, and it has cost him dearly.
Now it seems the two clubs could battle it out over another forward again this summer, 18-year-old Bruma from Sporting Lisbon. And its not just the two Manchester sides he has caught the eye of this season, with both Liverpool and Bayern Munich reported to have been scouting Bruma.
Bruma, who's full name reads Armindo Tue Na Bangna, has caught the eye with some impressive performances, has both blistering pace and also the strength to go past defenders with ease as Lisbon fans have witnessed him do this season.
But with Lisbon in financial trouble, it seems the young starlet could join Ricky van Wolfswinkel in leaving Portugal for England, with Wolfswinkel already agreeing to an £8m summer move to Norwich City.
The interest in Bruma from others has been strong, but with their connections at Sporting Lisbon from their previous signings, Ferguson and United feel that they can pip any rivals to the signing of this promising and upcoming young star.
