Barcelona are being linked with a €30million move for Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Spanish giants – who suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Bayern Munich in their Champions League semi-final first leg tie last night (Tuesday) – are keen on the Slovenian international stopper.
And, the Blaugrana are willing to offer big money to bring the player to the Nou Camp, with the future of Victor Valdes far from certain under Tito Vilanova in Catalonia.
Liverpool were linked with a move for the 28-year-old as recently as February, with Italian website TMW claiming Reds boss Brendan Rodgers were ready to offer £12million to bring the player to Merseyside.
However, the Anfield outfit appear set to be blown out of the water financially if they were to pursue the former Udinese stopper as either competition or a replacement for Pepe Reina, with Barca showing their financial muscle in the battle for the Serie ‘A’ star.
