Bayern Munich have wrapped up the Bundesliga earlier than any other side in history and have now virtually booked their place in the Champions League final after thrashing favourites Barcelona.
Bayern are well and truly on their course to win the treble but how good can this side be?
Bayern Munich have scored an overwhelming total of 134 goals in all competitions and have just conceded 26 goals throughout this current campaign.
Bayern average almost three goals per game which is incredible at such a high level and they have conceded 0.6 goals per game this season which is unmatched by any side in a major league.
They have recorded 40 wins in 47 games, which means they have won 85% of their games this season.
What makes Bayern different from other European giants is that they aren't over reliant on a single player for goals as their game is mainly based on teamwork rather than individual skill.
Teams usually are excellent in either attack or defence but Bayern are flawless at both, which makes them so hard to beat.
Bayern also keep possession of the ball very well averaging 63.6% possession per game, stats which are only matched by Barcelona whose game revolves around possession football unlike Bayern.
Defensively, Bayern have won just under 60% of their aerial duels this season showcasing how commanding they are in defence.
Bayern average around 17 shots per game which results in them scoring so many goals and their average pass success rate of 87.4% shows how good they are in the midfield too.
The only side to have scored more than this Bayern side in the 21st century were the Barcelona side of 08/09 that scored 160 goals but they conceded much more than the Bavarians.
Bayern still have seven games of the season left to rewrite the record books and with the imminent arrivals of Mario Gotze and Pep Guardiola next season, they could be one of the best footballing sides for years to come taking the baton from fading giants Barcelona.
