Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is eagerly awaiting another Premier League winners medal – and has taken to wearing his old ones in anticipation.

The England international put on his collection for a Facebook photo, and will get his wish when the title is presented to the Red Devils following their game against Swansea at Old Trafford on May 12th.

“Can't wait to get my 5th Premier League medal,” he wrote alongside the picture on his official Facebook page.

Manchester United cruised to the title with four games still to play this season, with a 3-0 win over Aston Villa creating an unassailable 16-point gap at the top of the table.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side capitalised on Manchester City’s slip-up against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, with the Scot guiding his team to a 13th Premier League title in 21 years.

It all means United will receive a guard of honour when they travel to old rivals Arsenal at the weekend, before games against Chelsea, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion bringing the season to a close.
