Barcelona have taken out an insurance policy on Neymar, which reportedly indicates they have already made a payment for him.
A report from talkSPORT claims the Camp Nou club have got a policy worth somewhere in the region of £200,000 in the eventuality Neymar cannot join them.
It says Catalunya Radio have claimed this is a sure indication that Barcelona have made the down payment on the Brazil superstar and will recoup the above amount if he suffers a career-threatening injury or illness.
The pre-contract agreement this policy supposedly indicates is reportedly a deal that had Barcelona pay £10million already in the agreement the Catalans would eventually pay £50million for him.
Said agreement reportedly also has a clause that any side that tries to sign Neymar ahead of Barcelona will have to stump up in the region of £80million.
Such a sum would put off a number of teams but those reportedly wanting to sign him, such as Chelsea and Real Madrid, have shown spending power to match such a large fee.
