Arsenal are keeping tabs on Hamburg's Rene Adler, according to Frank Arnesen, but the Bundesliga club's sporting director claims the Gunners have yet to make a formal attempt to sign the goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.
Hamburg are aware that Arsenal are monitoring Adler with a view to a potential approach when the window opens in July, although Arnesen says the north Londoners still have not contacted the club about a proposed transfer.
"We know Arsenal are looking [at Adler], but no one has contacted us yet," Arnesen told Bild.
Arsenal are on the lookout for a new first-choice 'keeper as Wenger reportedly scours the market for an experienced option to play ahead of the inconsistent current No.1 Wojciech Szczesny.
The Poland international recently lost his place to compatriot Lukasz Fabianski, and only regained his position in the first-team following an unfortunate injury to the latter.
Along with Adler, Arsenal are reported to be interested in acquiring the services of Stoke City's Asmir Begovic, while the Gunners have also been linked with Victor Valdes, who is out of contract with Barcelona next summer.
