Top five: Manager rich list (1)

Published 7 Comments

The question of which football club can splash the most cash is often on the lips of fans but now they can jabber about which Premier League bosses have the most bulging wallets.

The Sunday Times Sport Rich List has compiled those managers that have worked in the Premier League, Great Britain and Ireland that have amassed the greatest wealth.

While this is not a list only about the salaries being earned by the respective bosses, the presence of one or two in the top five are unsurprisingly those at some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

We will be revealing the top five in the following pages but there are some interesting names in the rest of top ten.

Current interim Chelsea manager and former Liverpool Rafael Benitez comes in joint tenth with a personal fortune of £12million, which puts him in line England boss Roy Hodgson and recently sacked Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill.

Current QPR boss and former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp sneaks ahead if those three with £13million.

The full list will be published in the Sunday Times on April 28 and is based on wealth like land and property, as well as other assets like racehorses of works of art.
