Video: Chelsea youngster scores 30-yard thunderbolt in crucial win

Published 5 Comments

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is reportedly on his way out of Stamford Bridge. But it appears as though they have a suitable replacement to provide his famous long-range strikes.

Blues youngster Nathaniel Chalobah has been on loan at Watford all season and has been impressing many that have watched him.

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is manager at Watford and he could well have a player on his hands to follow in his, and Lampard’s, footsteps.

The Hornets are hoping to join Chelsea in the Premier League nest season and their promotion hopes, whether automatically or through the playoffs, will have been boosted after a great win at Leicester City on Friday night.

The highlight of the 2-1 win was when Chalobah made it 2-0 just before half time with an absolute screamer.

Watford were pushing forward when a lax touch helped the ball sit up nicely for the 18-year-old 30 yards out.

The Chelsea youth star ran onto it and, without a second’s hesitation, slammed an unstoppable shot past Kasper Schmeichel into the top corner off the underside of the crossbar.

It was a thunderous drive and was worthy to win any game – Chelsea fans will be hotly anticipating the youngster’s return.
