Borussia Dortmund have reached their second Champions League final thanks to an astonishing first leg display over Real Madrid.

Robert Lewandowski bagged a remarkable four goals in the opening leg to all but ensure victory for Dortmund. The youthful side showed their potential with a good first half against Madrid in the second leg at the Bernabeu before going 2-0 down on the night with goals from Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos.

It looked like being a very nervous last few minutes for Dortmund following these goals but they stayed strong until the end against what looked like a lack-lustre Real Madrid.

Many members of the Dortmund side have attracted interest from top clubs from around Europe and going by this performance, it is easy to see how. With the transfer of Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich all but complete, the question surely must be; how can Jurgen Klopp hold on to such an array of young world-class prospects?

Robert Lewandowski has made headlines with his fantastic display in the first leg and one can only imagine how many top sides have him as their main target this summer.

Having already been linked with Manchester United, Bayern Munich now seem favourites to snap up the Polish superstar. The thing that first strikes you about Dortumund is the average age of the side.

The starting eleven for the second leg didn't include a player over the age of 27 which shows that we may look forward to many young talents coming from Dortmund in the future.
