Frank Lampard, can be simply described as a Chelsea legend. With a keen eye for goal and one of the best passers of a ball the Premier League has ever seen, Lampard is truly adored by the Stamford Bridge faithful.

Lampard, who signed from West Ham in 2001, has been a shining star in a team that has witnessed an abundance of world class players line up in the blue of Chelsea.

Throughout the last decade "Super Frank" has came up with the goods in key matches, whether it was playing a killer pass, having the nerves to slot a vital penalty or smash the ball from 30 yards into the roof of the net to give Chelsea key victories.

Lampard has assisted Chelsea in winning three Premier Leagues, one UEFA Champions League, four FA Cups, two League Cups and two FA Community Shields.

He has also being named Chelsea's Player of the Year award on three separate occasions. Lampard has also been successful on the European stage as he won the European midfielder of the year in 2008.

With 201 goals in 603 appearances for Chelsea he has found himself to be one goal shy of the great Bobby Tambling's Chelsea goal-scoring record.

With his many accomplishments and total devotion to Chelsea, it is incredibly hard to believe how he has not being granted a new contract.

Lampard has been an ever present force in Chelsea's most successful period in the clubs history and cemented his place in the team when the likes of Michael Ballack, Claude Makelele, Michael Essien and Juan Sebastian Veron all competing for places throughout his career.

It's to the disbelief and despair that this true Chelsea great has not been offered a contract by the Chelsea hierarchy. Lampard has given everything to the Chelsea cause and it is the opinion of the majority of Blues fans, that he should be awarded an extension on his current deal.

His legs might be tiring, but his professionalism is as ever present as usual. It will be a sad day in Chelsea history if "Super Frankie Lampard's" story is ended short at Chelsea.
