On one of the most challenging nights in Real Madrid’s season so far, there seemed to be only one calm body in the Santiago Bernabeu – Jose Mourinho.

As always, during the 90 minutes of what can only be described as entertaining and tense football, Mourinho was back and forth from his seat, up and down the touchline, and ever so animated. But when it came to the post-match interview, he seemed so cool.

Admitting his side were the weakest over the two legs, he also claimed that his team could have progressed if his team had scored earlier in the game. But when he was asked the crucial question, he didn’t hesitate to concede he might leave the club without looking back in the summer.

“Maybe next season with Real?” came the question, and without time to think, Mourinho answered: “Maybe not. I want to be where I love to be, where people love me to be.”

We obviously remember his stint at Chelsea which started 8 years ago. We all know Chelsea’s fans would welcome him back with open arms. But, while a move to England isn’t guaranteed, it certainly seems to be his favourable country.

As Chelsea set to say goodbye to interim manager Rafa Benitez in the summer, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson getting no younger, and the Arsenal board getting frustrated with Arsene Wenger’s lack of recent success - Jose Mourinho could well have a short-list, or long-list, of clubs that he’d work his magic on.
