Barcelona fans want Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea next season.

Spanish paper El Mundo Deportivo ran a poll online yesterday following their exit from the Champions League 24 hours earlier, and received 11,000 votes in less than two hours.

And, their ‘operation signings’ brought clear conclusions, with four key names rated as the most desirable.

David de Gea was the clear conclusion between the sticks, with the Red Devils stopper collecting 73% of votes placed for a player in that particular position.

The Spaniard has been in sparkling form for the Red Devils this season, helping Sir Alex Ferguson’s side bring the Premier League title back to Old Trafford.

De Gea has proved the critics wrong at Manchester United, and after a shaky first season at the club, is now the undisputed number one.

He also has a four-year contract with the club, meaning Barca boss Tito Vilanova may struggle if he did attempt to pursue the player’s signature.

Additionally, fans of the Catalan giants also want Neymar, Isco and Mats Hummels to boost the ranks at the Nou Camp next season.
