Premier League preview: 4th-6th May

Published 4 Comments

There is still plenty left to play for in the Premier League season, despite the title race being over.

Tottenham Hotspur host Southampton in a match Hugo Lloris has described as ‘must win’, as Spurs look to reach the Champions League with a top four finish.

Southampton, meanwhile, will want one more win to guarantee their Premier League safety.

Wigan travel to West Brom desperate for points in their fight for survival, whilst Newcastle need to avoid defeat as they linger dangerously close to the bottom three.

Aston Villa are another side in the fight for survival, and if they beat Norwich at Carrow Road then the Canaries will be pulled right back into the mix.

Manchester City will look to cement second with a win at Swansea City, whilst Fulham host Reading in a meaningless clash before Arsenal’s trip to QPR in the late kick-off. Arsene Wenger’s side also need a win to stay in top four contention.

On Sunday, Liverpool host Everton in the Merseyside derby, before Chelsea’s much-anticipated trip to Manchester United at 4pm.

Monday night sees Sunderland host Stoke, and both team need another win to move closer to safety.
