Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has praised the work of Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez after the Spaniard won manager of the month following his successful revival of the London club.
Chelsea have won three out of four games in April and have also managed to secure a place in the Europa League final having beaten FC Basel 5-2 on aggregate this week. Chelsea travel to Old Trafford on Sunday looking for a win that will further help their chances of a Champions League place next season.
Ferguson told reporters:" You can't dispute the fact he has done a good job in the last few weeks. They key to it is that the fans have settled down a little bit. They have left him alone and he has got on with managing his job.
"It can't be easy, listening to pressure all of the time. It has allowed him to relax and they have produced some good results."
Ferguson has also highlighted the importance of the game at Old Trafford for his Spanish counterpart, especially seeing as his team have already wrapped up the title.
"Chelsea's next two games are crucial. I would imagine they'd be thinking that they need to get something out of our game because Spurs is never an easy game.
"They will be fresh while Chelsea will have played on Thursday, Sunday and Wednesday."
Following the games against Manchester United and Spurs, Benitez's Blues face an away trip to resurgent Aston Villa, with their final Premier League game coming against David Moyes' Everton.
