Manchester City are eyeing Atletico Madrid starlet Oliver Torres and could be ready to bid for a summer move.
Etihad Stadium scout David Fernandez was watching the 18-year-old during his substitute appearance at the weekend and manager Roberto Mancini is keen on him, according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims Manchester City would have to splash out as much as £8million for the midfielder who has only made five La Liga appearances for Atletico this season.
Mancini is preparing to renew his squad this summer after a disappointing defence to their Premier League title, losing out to rivals Manchester United in March.
Torres reportedly has a contract at the Vicente Calderon until 2017 so Atletico boss Diego someone is in a strong bargaining position.
However, Manchester City may be forced to show their financial muscle with a bid greater than the £8million mentioned.
This is because the report claims other high profile Premier League teams have also taken an interest in the Spain Under-21 star.
