Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has hit back at Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny after the Polish keeper was quoted as saying Spurs are not good enough to finish in the top-four.
Tottenham and Arsenal are currently battling it out for a top-four finish, as well as battling other London side Chelsea and at the moment it is Chelsea and Arsenal that fill third and fourth respectively, however that will change if Tottenham can travel to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night and pick up all three points.
To fuel the fire, Arsenal's goalkeeper revealed that he thinks Tottenham lack the quality to finish in the top-four and he believes they will drop points along the way, surely a comment that will encourage the Spurs side ahead of their crucial game on Wednesday night.
Spurs manager believes the goalkeeper lacked respect with his comments and also gave his opinion on the keeper and he believes that he isn't a passionate Arsenal man and believes he will leave for another club in the near-future.
Boas then went on to say that he wouldn't have mind if the comment came from a genuine Arsenal fan and he believes Szczesny isn't one of those.
Villas-Boas told reporters: "I think it would be a little more tolerable if it had come from a genuine Arsenal fan but it is coming from an Arsenal player, an Arsenal player who is probably only passing by to another club, or he’s not going to stay there for life.
"In the end, does he means exactly those words from the heart? He doesn’t for sure.
"He’s entitled to say what he wants. It would be a little bit more realistic from a famous Arsenal fan to come forward with those words."
