3. Roberto Di Matteo: Chelsea v Middlesbrough – 1997

It took Roberto Di Matteo just 42 seconds to break the deadlock against Middlesbrough in the ’97 final, picking up the ball inside his own half, bursting forward and firing an unstoppable shot in off the underside of the cross bar.

Ben Roberts had no chance in the Boro goal, and Eddie Newton added a second late on to secure a 2-0 win for the Blues. Watch the future Chelsea manager’s stunning strike below…
