1. Steven Gerrard: Liverpool v West Ham United – 2006

In what is surely one of the greatest individual performances in FA Cup final history, Steven Gerrard pulled Liverpool off the floor to rescue a match that appeared to be slipping away.

The England international had already made it 2-2 in the second-half, and with his side down again as the match ticked towards its conclusion, the skipper fired home a rocket of a volley to send the match to extra-time.

Liverpool went on to win the penalty shootout, with Gerrard doing the business from 12-yards for good measure. Watch his two brilliant levelers below…
