Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on South Korean starlet Son Heung-Min as a replacement for Gareth Bale.

The Daily Mirror claims Andre Villas-Boas has targeted the 20-year-old to potentially fill the boots of the Welsh winger, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United amongst other clubs.

James McCarthy and Thomas Ince have also been linked with moves to White Hart Lane, according to the paper, with moves that could also signal the end for Aaron Lennon in north London.

Son has been linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs in recent times, with both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund also said to be chasing the Hamburg star.

The 13-cap international moved to Germany in 2008, and after making his first-team debut at the Imtech Arena two years later, has been a regular under Thorsten Fink, who took the helm in 2011.

However, his time in the Bundesliga could be up, and the potential marketing value of such a talented Asian player will not be lost on Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

'AVB' will be more interested in his ability on the pitch though, and the playmaker could certainly add an extra attacking dimension to the Tottenham Hotspur side next season.
