Andros Townsend is a product of Tottenham's youth academy system and since 2009 has been in and out of the club on loan.

He's a very fast winger, similar to that of Aaron Lennon, but is actually a lot taller, standing at 6ft. Andros has 18 appearances for his country, at U-16 to U-21 level combined.

Currently on loan at relegated QPR, he has done well for the club, proving to be arguably the best signing made from Harry Redknapp. He's been able to find the net on two occasions at QPR, with one of his goals a spectacular volley from the edge of the box.

Perhaps Townsend the the man that can drive the Lilywhites forward next season. With Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon both getting injuries this year, Lennon picking up more than just one, Townsend is a great solution to Spurs' injury woes in the wide positions.

He can certainly fill the gap that Bale and Lennon leave with his great pace and tenacity.

Andros has been a lifelong Spurs fan and he'd be happy, so long as game time is given, to stay with his beloved club for life.

Andre Villas-Boas has done well with the wing problem this year, by using the best of the what he's got. The players that start on the wing ,when Lennon and Bale are injured, aren't what you call 'wingers'.

None of the players really kept that width or pace on the wings and just served as wide midfielders who drifted in. Villas-Boas will certainly be happy with Townsend's performances at QPR this year, and should be rewarded with a regular place in the Spurs team.

Tottenham will be flying next year with the combined lightning speed of Aaron Lennon, Gareth Bale and of course, Andros Townsend.
