Tottenham consider cashing-in on midfield star
Tottenham transfer news: QPR want Scott Parker
Tottenham would reportedly consider selling Scott Parker during the summer transfer window, with former manager Harry Redknapp hoping to sign the England international to lead Queens Park Rangers' bid for promotion.
According to The Mirror, Spurs may cash-in on Parker should there be sufficient interest in his signature, and Redknapp has been touted as a potential suitor for the 32-year-old former West Ham talisman.
Redknapp brought Parker from the Boleyn Ground to White Hart Lane during the summer transfer window of 2011, and the ex-Charlton and Chelsea player has since made 62 appearances for Spurs.
QPR are in desperate need of leadership and direction following their relegation from the Premier League, and Parker may provide Redknapp's side with the fillip they need to return to the top-flight.
Parker, may, however be forced to abandon his England ambitions should he drop to the Championship - something he may be unlikely to do with the World Cup next summer.
Parker has endured an injury-hit season for Spurs and, although he has been used by Andre Villas-Boas when fit, the north Londoners are reported to be open to the idea of allowing him to leave the club.
Spurs have been linked with a number of more dynamic midfielders than Parker, and the return of Sandro next season after his extended period of rehabilitation is likely to push the former down the pecking order.
