Swansea City star, Michu has insisted that he is happy at the club and has dismissed all talk of him potentially leaving the club.

Michael Laudrup signed the Spaniard back in the summer from Spanish side Real Vallacano for a fee estimated at £2.2 million and he has had a very impressive debut season in England.

Many people have labelled Michu as the signing of the season considering his price tag and also the amount of goals he has scored in the 2012/2013 campaign.

The 27-year-old has scored 18 goals in the Premier League this season, which is only topped by; Robin Van Persie, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale and Christian Benteke and the forward also helped guide the club to their first Capital One Cup trophy.

The Welsh club have also been impressive in the Premier League as they look in contention for a top-half finish and Michu is surprised about how well his debut season has gone in England.

Speaking to South Wales Evening Post he said: "I've scored goals, we won a title and we've played well all throughout the season. I never thought it would go so well."

As for the Spaniard's future, he is aware that their are reports on the internet linking him with a move away from the club, but he has reassured fans that he is only interested in Swansea City and the season ahead.

Michu also held special praise for the fans of the club and insists he cannot wait to get started again for next season.

"I've seen articles on the Internet, but I'm very happy here," he said.

"I only think about playing next Sunday against Fulham. I'm happy on the pitch and in this team.

"Swansea fans do not need to worry. I'm very interested (in having the chance) to play in Europe. We have to play two rounds before the group stage, but we're not worried about that.

"We start on August 1, but it's good for us because we will play a lot of official games before the league season starts. It will be the first time in Europe for me.

"I am very happy at the club and I want to say thank you to everyone at the club because we have all enjoyed this season."
