Liverpool would reportedly consider selling Pepe Reina to Barcelona in the summer transfer window, provided the Primera Division champions include youngster Cristian Tello as part of any proposed deal for the Spanish goalkeeper.
According to The Mirror, Barcelona have identified Reina as the ideal candidate to replace Victor Valdes at the Camp Nou, and would be prepared to listen to any offer involving the inclusion of Tello.
Valdes has informed Barcelona he will not extend his stay with the club beyond the terms of his current contract, which expires next summer, and Reina has frequently been linked with a return to Catalonia.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has maintained he has no interest in allowing Reina to leave Anfield, although would reportedly consider changing his chance were the Reds able to capture the signature of highly-rated Tello.
The 21-year-old winger has been touted as a Liverpool target for some time, and any prospective deal for Reina will hinge on Barcelona's willingness to use him as a makeweight in their pursuit of the Reds' first-choice 'keeper.
Barcelona are reported to have indicated they will pay around £10 million to claim the signature of Reina during the transfer window and, with Tello valued at around £8.5 million, the Catalonian could make up the bulk of the deal.
Tello has made 32 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season, most of which have come from the bench, and could look to leave the champions of Spain in order to gain more regular first-team action.
