Arsenal and Chelsea have been warned they will have to negotiate long and hard if they want to sign transfer target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Saint-Etienne forward has been in terrific form this season, scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists in all competitions, which has reportedly attracted the attention of both Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Gunners and Blues will be encouraged by the fact that Aubameyang has admitted he is thinking of a transfer, but it may not be quite so straightforward.

It appears as though the Arsenal and Chelsea moneymen will have to work hard if they want to convince the Gabon international his future lies at either Emirates Stadium or Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang is determined to take his time over his next move and is wary of not making the wrong choice over the next step of his career.

“I cannot fail with my decision, whatever I decide to do will not be a mistake," he said in an interview with France 24.

"The reflection will be long and I want to negotiate with the club that offers the best for me in every way.”

Arsenal and Chelsea will also be hoping La Liga giants Real Madrid do not develop an interest in the 23-year-old, as he also admitted his love for los Blancos in the interview.

“My dream is to one day play for Real Madrid more than anything because my mother is Spanish,” he added.
