Belgium is mostly renowned for its chocolatey goods, however what you may not realise is that Belgium have many deliciously talented footballers.

They have a huge range of players who are up and coming world stars, and those who are already there.

Here we look at some of the top Belgian stars, taking the Premier League by storm:

Vincent Kompany - Manchester City

The big central-defender is one of the most famous in the team, captaining the blue side of Manchester and leading his side to winners of the Premier League in 2012.

Thomas Vermaelen - Arsenal

This centre-defender plays for the Gunners, having come from Ajax in 2009, the same year he was included in the PFA Team of the Year. He also captained his side, following the departure of Robin van Persie.

Jan Vertonghen - Tottenham

Another central-defender, playing for another London club, this time Tottenham Hotspur. More known for his attacking prowess than most centre-backs,the ex-captain of Ajax, he was named Player of the Month in March 2013.

Marouane Fellaini - Everton

The tall midfielder, made taller by the hair, is an integral part of the Everton side formed by David Moyes. A great player in the box, he was Premier League Player of the Month in November 2012.

Moussa Dembélé - Tottenham

This central-midfielder has had experience for two Premier League teams, playing for Fulham before moving to Tottenham in August 2012. He's impressed this season at White Hart Lane and will be hoping his side gain Champions League qualification.

Kevin Mirallas - Everton

The other Belgian at Everton, Mirallas has been away from Belgium for a long time, moving to LOSC Lille, then Olympiakos, until finally moving to Everton in August 2012. Perhaps best known for his solo goal against Stoke earlier this year in March.

Future Stars:

There are four main Belgians each coming into their own light this season, and three of them all from the same club.

They are: Thibaut Courtois, Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard, and Christian Benteke.

Benteke is the only player not at Chelsea, being at Aston Villa. Of the Chelsea players, two of them are out on loan. Hazard is arguably the most established of the four, however, they are all becoming popular in their own right:

Thibaut Courtois is currently on loan at Atlético Madrid. He is there waiting to fill in for Petr Cech when the time arises. But could move to first choice earlier than expected, developing into a very good, young keeper.

Romelu Lukaku is on loan at West Bromwich Albion. He is a powerful striker at 6 foot 3, but also weighing 100kg. Often likened to Didier Drogba, whom he idolised when growing up.

Eden Hazard is the most accomplished Belgian Chelsea player, known for his quick feet and agility, it is only because of his age that he was not placed as a current star player on this list. One of the 'three amigos' at Chelsea, along with Oscar and Juan Mata.

Christian Benteke is the new star player at Aston Villa, developing into a powerful figure able to spearhead the Villains attack. He is their highest goalscorer this season, making the difference on many occasions.

This list just exemplifies the facts, the Belgians are on the up! Not a single player on this list is over 27. There are even more players coming through the Belgian youth system as well, with siblings such as Thorgan Hazard and Jordan Lukaku, you can expect a far greater Belgian presence in British and European Football in the next five years.
