Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton has five top tips for those thinking about taking part in the 2013 Cycletta Series Event.
The Olympic Gold medallist is more used to the fast-paced world of ultra competitive elite cycling, but Pendleton is promoting the leading series of women-only recreational bike rides around the United Kingdom.
The programme, designed to make recreational cycling more popular around the country, tours England, Scotland and Wales and offers varying degrees of difficulty and distance for ladies of all ages and abilities.
So, what do you need to know?
Well, Pendleton stresses the importance of checking your bike at a cycle shop, staying hydrated, and dressing appropriately for the event - and for all weathers.
Pacing yourself is also key - there will be riders of all abilities and speeds, but it's important to stick within your own limits, according to the Olympian.
But most important of all? Have fun of course!
Pendleton attended the last Cycletta event in Cheshire, along with 600 other women, and hailed the rising popularity of the event, as well as women's cycling in general.
