Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, currently on loan with West Bromwich Albion, has emerged as a target for Swansea City as Michael Laudrup strives to reinforce his strikeforce during the summer transfer window.
Lukaku has excelled during his time at the Hawthorns - scoring 14 goals during his season-long spell with the Baggies - and now, according to Express and Star, Swansea are keen to acquire the services of the Belgium international.
The Swans are reported to be preparing a formal approach for Lukaku, believing they have a strong chance of capturing his signature as Chelsea would prefer for the 20-year-old to further his education at a club in European competition next season.
Swansea are in the hat for the Europa League - which was won by Chelsea on Wednesday night - having hammered Bradford City in the final on the Capital One Cup earlier this season.
Lukaku, meanwhile, joined Chelsea from Anderlecht for an initial €12 million, but has made just 12 firs-team appearances for the Blues, and was sent to West Brom to gain regular top-flight experience.
Frank Lampard is the only Chelsea player to have scored more Premier League goals this season than Lukaku, but his record this term may not be enough to guarantee a return to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
