Arsenal & Tottenham target to reject Premier League

Published Add your comment

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester City have been dealt a blow in their chase for exciting Spanish midfielder Beñat.

According to talkSPORT, the 26-year-old Real Betis star has been tracked by the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester City but will reject their interest and opt to stay in La Liga.

All three of the Premier League sides are reportedly looking to rebuild this summer but it appears their plans will have to make do without the Spain international, as he wants to join Athletic Bilbao

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly got a significant amount of money to spend and a midfielder could be one of his options.

Arsenal would likely have had a strong bargaining position ahead of their rivals at White Hart Lane and Etihad Stadium, due to having an informal link up with Betis.

Young forward Joel Campbell has been on loan at the Seville club since last summer.

The report claims Beñat should cost Bilbao as little as £6million, mainly owing to his contract expiring at the end of next season.
