With Nicklas Bendtner's Arsenal days seemingly numbered, he has picked up
yet another injury whilst out on loan to Serie A champions Juventus.
Having undergone an operation on his wrist, it sums up a season to forget for the Denmark international, who failed to score in 11 appearances for the Turin side
After the match, Juventus head coach Antonio Conte showed his own disappointment in Bendtner's poor luck this season.
"It's a pity only for the 100th injury of Bendtner, who has really had an unlucky season," said the Juve boss.
After initially struggling to break into the Juventus line-up, Bendtner then suffered a serious thigh injury in December, and was arrested in March for drink-driving and for driving the wrong way down a street in Copenhagen.
His cameo appearance on Saturday lasted less than 20 minutes after coming on in the 74th minute, yet it was his first appearance of 2013.
While few Arsenal fans would welcome him back to the Emirates Stadium, his tally of 22 goals in 40 league starts for the Gunners isn't a bad record - and there is a possibility that he may be included in Arsene Wenger's plans for next season, though with the imminent signing of Auxerre's Yaya Sanogo and the long-term link with Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic, it looks incredibly unlikely.
