Don’t you just love watching the Premier League on television? GMF does. It also turns out that the Premier League clubs love you watching them on television.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and others want nothing more than for you to lay your glinting eyes on a the magic picture box and gawp at one of them do battle with their football foes.

This is because it is earning them a shed-load of cash when you do so and, with a record television deal coming into place next season, the numbers are only getting bigger.

Figures showing total income from television were released this week and there were few surprises over which clubs gained the most.

Money from the overseas television deal is spread out equally between he 20 clubs, but certain teams will get more because they appear in more live games and because they finish higher up the league.
