Chelsea look set to miss out on Mehdi Benatia, according to reports in France. The 26-year-old was reportedly a target for the Blues, but looks set to join AS Roma for a fee in the region of £9.5m.
Paul Scholes says he was delighted to be able to leave 'under the radar' thanks to the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. The Manchester United midfielder was one of several big names to bow out at the end of the season, and Scholes insisted he couldn't have timed it better to avoid the spotlight.
Kieran Gibbs believes Arsenal passed a major test of character in securing a top-four finish in the Premier League. Arsene Wenger's side were written off by many in March, but fought back to go 10 games unbeaten and edge out rivals Tottenham to seal a Champions League qualifying spot.
Joao Moutinho insists he has no intention of leaving Porto this summer despite fresh reports linking him with a move away. Moutinho has revealed he's happy in Portugal, after speculation gathered pace that Monaco and Spurs were set to go head-to-head for his signature.
