Marouane Fellaini edging closer to Manchester United

Published 51 Comments

Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini is edging closer to a Manchester United transfer this summer, as bookies start to slash their odds.

According to the Daily Star, new Old Trafford manager David Moyes is ready to set out his summer transfer targets and could make a move for his former charge.

The report claims odds of Fellaini joining Manchester United have been slashed as short as 1/2, which indicates a deal could be in the offing.

Moyes took Fellaini to Everton from Standard Liege in 2008 for a club record fee of £15million, though the Belgium international is expected to cost quite a bit more should he make the switch to Old Trafford.

Moyes will be keen to make his mark at Manchester United after he was announced as the man to take over from Sir Alex Ferguson, who has retired after 26 years in charge of the Red Devils.

Fellaini hinted at a possible Manchester United switch earlier this week when he made comments regarding his future at Goodison Park.

The 25-year-old said he would only leave Everton for “a club where the manager really wants me.”
