Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has told striker Christian Benteke to 'come back to reality' after the 22-year-old revealed his dream to play at the top level with a team like Arsenal.
The Villa striker has had a superb debut season in England, bagging himself 19 goals in the Premier League - and his performances have caught the eye of many top league sides, but the side that has caught his eye is Arsenal.
Benteke has said that he is happy to be at Aston Villa, but if a chance arises where he could move to the Emirates Stadium, he would love to go.
Before signing for Villa, the Belgium striker admitted that Thierry Henry was his hero and Arsenal was the club he loved when growing up, so a future there would be a dream for the 22-year-old.
During an interview with the Daily Express, Benteke said that he wouldn't like to stay at Villa Park for his whole career and he would love a chance to help a top team like Arsenal in the future.
Despite admitting he wants a move to the Emirates Stadium, Paul Lambert - Benteke's manager at Villa - has dismissed those links and has given a sharp warning to the striker.
The Villa boss has said that Benteke has still got a lot to learn despite his impressive debut season - and admits that this season may be a one-off for the Belgium.
Lambert told talkSPORT: "I don't really 100 per cent know what's happened but he's got three years here at Aston Villa and the club have always come first.
"He's had one of those seasons where he's never really been injured and he's never been suspended except the last day.
"It's a unique thing, and he's got to remember that he's only 22 years of age - he's got so much to learn.
"He's only a kid starting out and he's going to have ups and downs like everybody else. Once he starts to play 400 or 500 games you might think, 'yeah, he's right good player'.
"I think sometimes we've got to have a reality check here. This lad's only been in Britain for 10 months. He's got the status at Aston Villa and everybody loves him."
