Footage has emerged of German football fans fighting prior to the Champions League final in London tonight.
The video seems to show rival packs of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich supporters clashing close to Wembley Stadium, before police step in to break it up.
Kicks and punches can be seen towards the end of the clip, while missiles rain down for much of the video. Several yobs can be seen throwing bottles towards the rival group.
A Met Police spokesman told The Sun: “At around 9am this morning, police on duty at Wembley spotted a large group of German fans fighting in the coach parking area of Wembley Stadium.
“Police intervened and the group dispersed. There were no arrests and one person was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.”
The trouble stands in stark contrast to the fantastic support provided by the majority of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund fans so far this weekend.
Thousands of supporters have packed the capital in good spirits as they prepare for the all-German Champions League final.
Fan parks around London have hosted both sets of fans, and they have mingled with the locals and posed for pictures alongside the capital’s major landmarks.
Let’s hope the ugly scenes don’t detract from an otherwise much anticipated final.
