In preparation for next weekend's German Cup final clash against newly crowned Champions League winners Bayern Munich, VFB Stuttgart decided to take on 5th division side Reutlingen in one of the most one-sided friendlies in recent history.
Not only did the Bundesliga outfit trounce their opponents 10-0, but the match also served up a stunning halfway-line goal from Raphael Holzhauser.
Receiving the ball from just inside his own half, the 20-year-old midfielder took two touches to set himself before unleashing an incredible strike, which flew over the unsuspecting goalkeeper and into the net.
Stuttgart were already 6-0 up at the time, so the goal wasn't exactly the key component to orchestrate the downfall of the relative minnows, but it was still a sensational piece of skill that GiveMeFootball thought it worth celebrating.
Watch Holzhauser's brilliant long-range effort in the video below - with thanks to 101greatgoals.com for bringing it to our attention - and feel free to share your favourite halfway-line goals in the comment box provided.
