Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring Vitesse midfielder Marco van Ginkel, along with Manchester United and Norwich, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old midfielder has starred for the Dutch club in the Eredivisie this season. Van Ginkel and striker Wilfried Bony have been two huge success stories, and have attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and United.

Van Ginkel, who made his debut for the Netherlands national team in November 2012, came through the youth ranks at Vitesse, was named Dutch Talent of the Year for the 2012-13 campaign.

The award, presented to the best player in the Eredivisie under the age of 21, has been won by the likes of Christian Eriksen, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Wesley Sneijder in the past ten years.

And the report claims Chelsea are the latest club to show an interest in the £8m-rated midfielder.

Incoming Manchester United manager David Moyes has been to Holland to watch the player in person, while Norwich are also thought to be interested.

But the Stamford Bridge club hold the advantage that comes with an existing working relationship with Vitesse. Chelsea sent two of the club's youngsters on loan to the Dutch side this season - Tomas Kalas and Patrick Van Aanholt have both spent time with Vitesse.

In other Chelsea news, 21-year-old Blues centre-back Jeffrey Bruma could be set for a permanent return to Holland, as the report claims he's near to agreeing a move to PSV Eindhoven.
