Around 17 years ago, a young lad named Zlatan Ibrahimovic signed a contract with Malmo FF.

Now, there are many people who sign a contract with a youth team at that age, and some of them become greats. Ibrahimovic is no less, and he began his career with the Swedish club before moving to Ajax in 2001.

Ajax

His time at Ajax, like most of the teams he played for, was a memorable stint. With Ibrahimovoc being quite young, he played a bit differently, compared to now.

At Ajax he was all about close control and, of course, the regular goals which he continues to score. However, despite his talent, he was caught up in controversy involving Rafael van der Vaart. This caused a sudden transfer to Juventus for €16m.

Juventus

With David Trezeguet blighted with injuries, Ibrahimovic was immediately put into the first XI. He impressed on his debut season, with 16 goals.

Sadly, during the next season, he was put on the sidelines more - or was used as an attacking midfielder rather than of a centre forward.

Later, once Juventus were relegated to Serie B, Ibrahimovic departed from the Italian club.

Inter Milan

Now, this is when Ibrahimovic really shined: he helped Inter break many records.

He was very impressive with them, and was developing to become one of the world's best. He proved that he was worth every penny of the €24.8m transfer and, after scoring 66 goals in 117 appearances and lifting Inter to great heights, Barcelona secured a transfer to the Camp Nou.

Barcelona

Ibrahimovic's time at Barcelona was a time to forget, and he wasn't played that much.

He didn't receive the playing time he deserved, and did not maintain a relationship with Pep Guardiola. Although his first season was reasonable, he was soon offloaded to AC Milan on loan, before completing a permanent transfer.

AC Milan (loan and transfer)

He had an excellent season with the Italian giants, scored many goals and was one of Milan's guiding lights.

The following season got only better, with 28 goals in 32 league appearances. He enhanced his reputation as a predatory striker.

PSG

He has become a PSG hero now, thanks to his impressive goalscoring exploits. His performances in the league and Europe have been outstanding and he continues to show what he's made of.

His goals have been extremely valuable for the French outfit, and without him, they would be nowhere.

What's more is that his international career also proves what a classy striker he is.
