Arsenal are on the trail of highly-rated Levante winger Ruben Garcia, according to reports in Spain.

TalkSPORT reports how the 19-year-old Spaniard only made his first-team debut at Estadi Ciutat de Valencia in September, but has capped an impressive campaign in La Liga with four goals in 28 appearances.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been credited with an interest in bringing Garcia to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but could face competition for the player's signature from a host of rival suitors across the continent.

Amid reported interest from Arsenal the talented teenager has made no secret of his desire to test himself in a foreign country, and will be looking to capture even more attention at the European U21 Championships in Israel next month.

"In Spain there are very great and historic teams, but yes, I would like to travel abroad and I would have to think about it because they are a big club," Garcia is quoted by the Daily Mirror.

Arsenal chief scout Steve Rowley is said to have made personal checks on Garcia on a number of occasions this season, and has returned promising reports on a player who could arrive in north London ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
