Phil Neville believes his Everton team-mate Andrew Johnson is "pushing on the door for an England starting place".
Johnson is poised to win only his fifth cap alongside Wayne Rooney in Wednesday´s friendly international against Holland in Amsterdam.
Neville told PA Sport: "Andy Johnson has taken his game onto an unbelievable level. When you trained with him with England last season, I used to think he was just a goalscorer. When you train with him day in and day out at club level, and you see his attitude, you know he has got more to his game than that. I think he is pushing on the door now for a starting place in the first XI for England."
