Bernard Anício Caldeira Duarte has been strongly linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund and the young starlet could be set to take the world by storm.
Having earned rave reviews whilst at Atlético Mineiro, some fans have gone as far as saying he is better than Neymar.
Despite being just 5ft 3" tall, the midfielder has tormented many a defence, earning himself a call-up to the senior Brazil national team, no easy task considering the vast amount of quality attacking-midfielders that Luiz Felipe Scolari has to pick from.
His link-up play with Ronaldinho has been universally praised, with Bernard often using his pace and trickery to jink past defenders, and run on to excellent balls played through by the 33 year-old.
At the age of 20, he has been likened to the play-styles of Oscar and Phillipe Coutinho, having demonstrated excellent technical ability, the ability to score free-kicks, being able to shoot with either foot and incredible ball skills.
If he were to move to Borussia Dortmund, he would likely be under pressure to fill the boots of the departing Mario Gotze, who will move to Bayern Munich at the end of the season for €37 million.
However, that may not be a fair comparison - while Gotze is more of a playmaker, Bernard is more of a dribbler, and tend to run at defences more, though he does also have exception passing ability.
