Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all look to have lost out in the race to sign Ligue 1 rising star Pieree-Emerick Aubameyang.

The highly-rated Gabon international has opted to snub the chance of a Premier League switch in order to secure a transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, according to talkSPORT.

All three of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are expected to make moves in the transfer market this summer for forwards, with Aubameyang one all three are reportedly interested in.

However, other Chelsea transfer business could see the Premier League trio miss out – the Blues are reportedly close to signing Leverkusen star Andre Schürrle, which will force the Bundesliga club to find a replacement.

That could be Aubameyang after the report says his agent confirmed Leverkusen had made him aware they were interested.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly searching for another striker as part of a major summer shopping spree and Aubameyang has been mooted as an option.

However, more established stars such as Gonzalo Higuain and Stevan Jovetic are reportedly higher on his list than the 23-year-old.

Aubameyang has scored 37 goals in 87 league matches for his current club Saint Etienne.
