With all the managerial upheaval going on around him, Arsene Wenger has been handed an unprecedented opportunity – to highlight the benefits of continuity.

Arsenal are reportedly ready to throw off the financial shackles that have supposedly been holding them back in the transfer market in the past and the time has come for Wenger to show that he still has it in the market.

A strong finish last season secured them a Champions League qualifying round that appeared unlikely on many occasions and they will need to build on the defensive stability that allowed the ten-game unbeaten run if they have serious hopes of becoming title contenders once more.
