Europe’s elite clubs: the big summer questions (7)

Published 23 Comments

Regaining Barcelona’s La Liga title was a grand achievement for Tito Vilanova but it was done against a backdrop of Real Madrid internal issues and a supposedly era-defining pasting at the hands of Bayern Munich.

Big changes have been predicted at Camp Nou in terms of personnel and a number of their veterans will be edging closer to the end of their time there –questions will arise over whether the famed La Masia academy can provide some more stars for the first team.

However, all this pales into insignificance behind in light of the signing of Brazil superstar Neymar. Will he be able to play with Lionel Messi? Is he as good as people have been saying he is? Will it spark a return to European domination?

Whatever the answers, it is going to be fun getting them.
