Chelsea appoint Jose Mourinho as manager
Chelsea news: Reports claim that Jose Mourinho signed a four-year deal on Tuesday night
To the delight of fans, players, and reporters, Jose Mourinho has officially returned to Chelsea, according to The Sun.
Mourinho was last spotted at Wembley on Sunday for the Championship play-off final between Crystal Palace and Watford, which the Eagles won to secure promotion to the Premier League.
The next time fans are likely to see Mourinho on the Chelsea sidelines will be in the United States, during a tour that might see the Portuguese coach face his former club, Real Madrid.
One match that all supporters will be relishing watching is against Bayern Munich in the European Super Cup at the start of next season, which will see Mourinho go head-to-head with old foe Pep Guardiola.
The 50-year-old will look to strengthen the Blues’ squad for the upcoming campaign. Chelsea are reportedly prepared to give Mourinho a transfer budget of £100m - and there are no doubts that he will use it.
