Formula 1 star Fernando Alonso scores Panenka penalty

Published 1 Comments

You need a cool head to tear round the streets of Monaco at 180mph, so it was no surprise to see Fernando Alonso's coolness under pressure translate onto the football pitch on Wednesday night.

The Formula 1 driver starred in a recent Juventus charity match alongside the likes of Filippo Inzaghi, Pavel Nedved and Edgar Davids, and showed he belonged with an ice-cool Panenka penalty during the 9-9 draw.

The double world champion was up against Gianluigi Lentini in goal - the former AC Milan and Italy midfielder.

Juve star Andrea Pirlo would have been proud of this one, on his home turf as well, as Alonso sells it perfectly to chip it straight down the middle.

Not sure what the mad camera-man and interviewer darting round the pitch are doing, mind. Last thing you need before taking a penalty, surely?

Check out the video of Alonso's Panenka penalty in the video - with credit again to for getting the clip up first...
